Phenomenal. Worth a listen:

we do what we want
Maybe you all know this. But I didn’t. Now I do. It’s one more thing that I can file under COMPLETED LIFE GOALS. (Just imagine some hiphop clap in the background, would be so fine).

Just released, a free mixtape that remixes Sufjan Steven’s “Illinoise” with some hip-hop via Outkast, Aesop Rock and others. Check it out, and let us know what you think in the comments!
It had to happen, someone mashes just a lot of music videos together…. PHENOMENAL!!!! Kutiman, an Israeli musician, created the website THRU YOU, where he actually mixes together clips of youtube videos to make new songs. And he does a hell of a job at it!
Somewhat shoe-gazy post-rock (now with lyrics). Japan Air would probably be awesome summer-library music…. if we only had the summer weather…

We are open to putting the documents up to a vote. The rules people must do when on the site and what we must do, a two way thing. There will be Comment periods, a council that will help on future revisions.
We do not own user data, they own their data. We never intended to give that impression and we feel bad that we did. This document is a foundation that we’re going to use our decisions going forward.

New remix of Mark Morrison’s “Innocent Man” feat. DMX, Eastwood & Mr. Kane. It’s great. Generally I’m not a huge fan of DMX, Mark Morrison, etc., but I have a soft spot for songs that I think really pick out and focus on some of social realities/issues that largely go untalked about. For instance, look at DMX’s part in the song:
DMX If everyone else had my eyes Then, who I am wouldn’t be a surprise Just because I’m locked up don’t mean I’m fucked up in the game Just to think the motha dirt they trying to throw on my name Get arrested – getting arrested don’t make me guilty But by the time I make it to court The media dun’ killed me Gotta good heart but we all do wrong I really mean well but I’m going too strong You say I’m rehabilitated, but I still can’t vote You say I paid my debt but I still can’t vote Gotta pay taxes but I still can’t vote Come on dawg yall stay trying to keep a nigga broke You just as crooked as us, fuck you trying to say Cause once I pay that dough, the charges go away Forget about it - It’s ok! Cause Imma walk over here and let the lord pave my way – Aight
The weird ways that people convicted of crimes are treated in this country is often not talked about, and I love the way it’s put in this song.
You can check out the West Coast remix here.
